Established in 2017, the Bayshore Foundation for Empowered Living supports local charities that help people live independently by funding initiatives that improve Canadians’ quality of life by removing barriers that prevent them from taking control of their independence.

Since 2019 the Foundation has raised and donated more than $60,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society. In 2023 alone, our donation was $25,000, raised through events hosted by our local Bayshore Home Care Solutions branches and our Bayshore Specialty Rx division, which includes Patient Support Programs that deliver ongoing care to patients who are taking specialty pharmaceuticals. So far this year just over $11,000 has been raised.

These funds have helped support nationwide programs offered locally by the Cancer Society that help cancer patients better manage their lives with cancer, find community and connection, and build wellness and resilience. Currently there are over 4,000 free programs and services across the country, used by 78,000 Canadians including:

The Bayshore Foundation is proud to continue to support the Canadian Cancer Society and its many local programs and services.

The Bayshore Foundation for Empowered Living, the charitable arm of Bayshore HealthCare, funds charitable organizations that support individuals who are facing the challenges of illness, injury or aging. Please visit our website bayshorefoundation.ca to make a positive difference where you live by donating to one of our current campaigns. And, thanks to a gift from Bayshore HealthCare, the Foundation is able to match donations at 50% – for every dollar donated, the chosen charity receives $1.50.
